LITTER (FRESH NEWS CAT LITTER)
Choose a cat litter like Fresh News® which provides outstanding odour control and low-tracking. The soft natural pellets retain their form which will attract your cat to use the litter tray and avoid them tracking the pellets around your home after they have used the tray.

The type and location of your litter tray is also very important to your cat.
Choose a litter tray that is the correct size for your cat or kitten, taking in to account the number of cats using it (increase the number of litter trays to suit the number of cats you have).
The litter tray should be made of non-absorbent material, like plastic, to prevent odours being absorbed and for easy cleaning. After prolonged use the litter tray will become scratched making it more difficult to clean, so it is recommended that the tray is replaced at this stage.
Choose a location for the litter tray that is both secure and private. Avoid busy areas in the house where the cat will be disturbed or where it is overlooked. Some cats prefer a covered tray for added security.
It is also important to site the litter tray away from the feeding area.

Research shows that one of the best ways to keep your cat healthy and well is a ready supply of fresh water to drink.
In nature, moving water is much fresher that stagnant water and many pets prefer to drink from free flowing water, such as the water tap!
The Drinkwell Pet water fountain encourages them to drink more water which is important as many cats may not drink as much water as they should. This is one reason the urine becomes so concentrated and predisposes some cats to urinary tract disease.
Cats with urinary tract or kidney diseases have a critical need for water to support kidney function and prevent crystal formation and obstruction.
HYGIENE (URINE OFF ODOUR & STAIN REMOVER)
To keep your litter tray fresh and clean ensure that you remove the soiled pellets on a daily basis and that you clean the litter tray on a regular basis.
Biological substances such as urine and faeces contain proteins, an effective growth environment for disease causing micro-organisms. Unlike many ordinary cleaners and disinfectants which simply mask the smell, Urine Off actually 'eats' the components of urine and proteins, removing the means for infectious agents to flourish whilst also getting rid of any odour or stains.
- Each time you change the litter use a disposable Urine Off Litter Box Wipe to clean the area (including the sides) before topping up with new litter.
- At least once a week, completely wash and disinfect the litter tray being careful to rinse away all traces of soap and dry the tray thoroughly.
- Liberally coat the entire tray inside and out with Urine Off Cat & Kitten Spray and allow to air dry for 30 minutes or so.
- Once the litter tray is odour-free, wipe with a paper towel and it’s then ready to use. Don’t forget to also clean the litter scoop and the area immediately surrounding the litter tray.
